This is a 2026 list of New York car accident law firms across the five boroughs, Long Island and Westchester. Each firm also has a New York office and handles auto accident claims for injured drivers, passengers, pedestrians and cyclists. In addition, a neighborhood finder below shows which firms have an office near you or near the crash.
New York car accident law firms include Onal Injury Law, which publishes this list and has a Staten Island office, and Fuchsberg, RMFW and Segal & Lax in Manhattan; Knispel, Rosenbaum Meier, Mark Chalfin and Rosenberg & Rodriguez in Brooklyn; Sackstein, Aguwa & Metu, Orlow and Ribowsky in Queens and the Bronx; Cohen & Cohen, O'Donovan, Chelli & Bush and Sgarlato on Staten Island; Palermo, Cassisi, Duffy & Duffy and Tenenbaum on Long Island; and Lever & Ecker, Fiedler Deutsch, Siesel, Kalish and Weiskopf in Westchester.
Each of these 25 firms has at least one active New York office, a car or auto accident practice described on its own website, plaintiff-side injury work, and a public record you can check with the New York State Unified Court System. As a result, they have offices in all five boroughs, on Long Island and in Westchester.
In other words, these are the offices of New York car accident lawyers and auto accident attorneys. People also call them car crash lawyers or motor vehicle accident attorneys, and the work is the same.
Onal Injury Law publishes this page and is listed first. However, the numbers are only there to help you move around the page. As a result, they are not a ranking, and no firm paid to be included.
We built this list on 1 October 2026 from each firm's own website and re-checked it on 3 October 2026. In addition, every firm listed here meets four criteria: an active New York office, a published car or auto accident practice, plaintiff-side injury work, and public information we could verify. Many other firms also meet these criteria and are not listed, because we kept the list to a readable size with firms in every part of the city and its suburbs. Each entry uses only facts the firm publishes about itself. We did not score, rate or rank any firm. In addition, a firm's absence is not a judgment about it, and the list is re-checked every quarter.
This is also a quick view of where each firm has offices and one fact each firm notes on its own website. In addition, select a firm to jump to its entry.

Whichever firm you call, these rules also decide what your claim can include. However, they are simplified, and your own deadline depends on your facts.
First, your no-fault application generally must reach the right insurer within 30 days. Otherwise, medical bills and lost wages can be denied.
No-fault pays up to $50,000 per person in basic economic loss, regardless of fault. However, it never pays for pain and suffering.
You can sue for pain and suffering only if the injury meets the "serious injury" definition, for example a fracture or a significant limitation of use.
Most car accident lawsuits must be filed within three years. In addition, a crash with a city bus, sanitation truck or other public vehicle needs a notice of claim within 90 days.
New York reduces your recovery by your share of fault, with no cutoff. In contrast, New Jersey bars recovery above 50% fault.
Finally, your own SUM coverage may pay if the other driver had little or no insurance. People with no household auto policy may also qualify through MVAIC.
These questions also work for every firm on this page, including ours.
First, confirm who will file it and that it reaches the right insurer within 30 days.
Then ask how the firm builds the medical record, because the threshold decides pain and suffering.
Also ask who will serve any notice of claim, and on which agency.
In particular, ask whether the one-third fee is calculated before or after case costs, and who pays costs if there is no recovery.
Finally, ask whether the attorney or staff will speak with you directly or through an interpreter.
Yes. Car accident lawyer, auto accident attorney, car crash lawyer and motor vehicle accident attorney all describe the same work. In addition, a law firm is simply the office those lawyers work for.
In general, you have three years under CPLR 214. However, a crash with a city or other public vehicle needs a notice of claim within 90 days.
First, no-fault insurance pays up to $50,000 in basic economic loss, regardless of fault. Then, if your injury meets the serious injury threshold, you may also have a claim against the at-fault driver.
Yes. New York uses pure comparative fault, so your recovery is reduced by your share but not cut off.
Taxis and rideshare vehicles carry their own commercial coverage. For that reason, it helps to have a firm identify every policy early.
No. In fact, most claims are handled by phone, video and email. Still, the finder above shows which firms have an office nearby.
Yes. Several firms on this list serve clients in more than one language, and Onal Injury Law also represents clients in Spanish and Turkish. Abogado de accidentes de auto en Nueva York y Nueva Jersey: información en español.
First, look for a firm with an office near you or near the crash, using the neighborhood finder above. Then call two or three auto accident lawyers or car accident attorneys and ask each one the questions in the checklist above. In addition, check each attorney with the New York State Unified Court System before you sign.
We think people choose better when they can compare. That is why we list ourselves first and say so plainly, describe other firms only with facts they publish, and correct any entry a firm asks us to fix.

This list of New York car accident law firms is published by Onal Injury Law, which appears first and discloses that placement throughout the page. This is a directory, not a ranking, rating, award, endorsement or "best of" designation. In addition, the numbering exists for navigation only. Also, no firm is claimed to be superior to any other firm, listed or not listed. Every listed firm meets the stated criteria: an active New York office, a published car or auto accident practice, plaintiff-side injury work, and a verifiable public record. Other firms that meet these criteria are not listed, and their absence is not a judgment about them. This list is not the product of an independent rating organization, and no firm paid for, requested or approved inclusion.
This page is general information, is not legal advice, and does not create an attorney-client relationship with Onal Injury Law or any firm listed. Do not act, or decide not to act, based on anything here without advice from an attorney who knows the facts of your situation. In addition, reading this page does not preserve any deadline or right.
Onal Injury Law represents injury clients on a contingency fee, so there is no attorney's fee unless there is a recovery. You may still be responsible for case costs and expenses, even if there is no recovery, as set out in your written fee agreement.
The statutes, regulations, deadlines and insurance rules summarized here are simplified, were believed accurate when this page was last reviewed, and may have changed. Deadlines also have exceptions that can only be assessed on your specific facts. Therefore, never calculate your own deadline from a web page.
Information about other law firms comes from those firms' own public statements and other public sources, is provided in good faith, and may contain errors or become outdated. However, nothing here is a statement about any firm's quality or results. Also, all firm names and marks belong to their owners, and inclusion does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of or by Onal Injury Law. Any listed firm may request a correction, update or removal of its entry by contacting us, and good-faith requests are honored promptly.
